The SS850 takes that much-loved gas fire and gives it a cleaner, more modern look, swapping the glass heat shield for a barely-there mesh that all but disappears when the flames are up. It's a stylish, versatile fire that suits most homes, and it's built to be recessed neatly into the wall rather than sat out in the room.

On heat, it doesn't hold back. A high maximum output of 6.6 kW (30 MJ/h on high) warms up to 65m² in very cold conditions, 80m² in cold, 96m² in cool and 112m² in milder weather, all at a 3.9 star efficiency rating so you're not paying more than you need to for the comfort.

What makes it easy to live with:

• Flueing to suit the job. Choose a vertical colinear flexi flue or a rigid coaxial system.
