There's an hourly timer for a set-and-forget session, open window detection that trims the heat when a draught sneaks in, and voice, smart device or remote control so you're never hunting for the right button.

The look is every bit as considered. Truburn Flame Technology projects high-definition video of genuine wood-fire flames, complete with smoke and sparks, onto angled glass, with a glowing log bed lit from within to echo the char of a real fire and built-in speakers carrying an honest crackle. Mix four flame styles with nine log colours, nine fuel bed colours and brightness dialled to taste, then bank your favourite combination to 'Favourite' mode for instant recall.

Because there's no vent or flue, the EL1300 goes in as a Front, Corner or Panoramic install, whatever the room calls for, and optional 25mm slim and 50mm wide trims are available separately to tidy the finish. Covered by a 5 year parts and labour warranty.
