The SS850 Freestander is designed to sit on a choice of fixed furniture, which leaves the design side wide open, however you picture it in the room.

It doesn't muck about on heat, either. A high maximum output of 6.6 kW (30 MJ/h on high) is enough to take the chill off a good-sized room, warming up to 65m² in very cold conditions, 80m² in cold, 96m² in cool and 112m² in milder weather. It runs at a 3.9 star efficiency rating, so that warmth isn't costing you more than it should.

A few things that make it easy to live with:

• Sealed from the room. The coaxial direct vent flue system draws and vents outside, keeping the fire sealed off from the air you're breathing.
• Safe to be near. A subtle mesh heat shield keeps things comfortable up close without spoiling the look.
• Wi-Fi ready. Add the Wi-Fi module and you can run it from your phone. Prefer to keep it simple? The included infrared remote does the job.
• Your gas, your choice. Available in both LPG and Natural Gas.

Finished in clean Matte Black, it measures 865mm wide, 660mm high and 360mm deep.
